About Kolton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a dawg fast, physical, and relentless. Whether I’m at linebacker or coming off the edge, I make plays. I read offenses fast, hit hard, and bring pressure. You can put me anywhere on the field and I’ll still be a dawg. I lead with energy, play with heart, and never back down.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is simple: outwork everybody and dominate every snap. I don’t wait for plays to come to me — I go take them. I play with a chip on my shoulder, like I’ve got something to prove every time I step on the field. I’m locked in, aggressive, and never satisfied. Being a dawg isn’t just how I play — it’s who I am.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Over the past few seasons, I’ve built my game on discipline, work ethic, and coachability. I’ve developed strong instincts, tackling technique, and pass-rush skills, while constantly improving my speed, strength, and film study habits. Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve had to fight for everything. I moved to 3 different schools, which meant constantly proving myself in new environments, learning new systems, and earning coaches’ trust over and over. I didn’t start until my sophomore year, but once I got my shot, I made it count. Every move pushed me to adapt, stay focused, and keep grinding no matter what. What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that believes in development — a program that’s going to push me to grow on and off the field. I want coaches who are real, who coach hard, and who care about building men, not just football players. I’m not chasing hype — I want a school where I can compete, contribute, and earn everything. Whether it’s D1, D2, or JUCO, I’m looking for a place that fits my mindset.

Jackson is an under-the-radar defender that holds potential to be a breakout prospect heading into his senior season with Canyon Springs. He showed promising flashes as an athletic edge rusher with the speed and quickness he brings to the table. Flashed versatility playing both off the ball and on the edge but likely offers more upside as a rusher with the skillset he possesses. Strong, physical frame at 5’11″/190 that should have no issue adding strength and has the lateral range to make plays on the perimeter on stretch run plays. Jackson is an up-and-coming EDGE prospect to keep an eye on in the fall.
