Expert Analysis
Zack Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Thomas put together a productive junior campaign for Canyon Springs with 42 tackles (28 solo), 2 INTs, and 6 PBUs in 2025. He’s a versatile defender that showed his ability to cover on the perimeter as well as attack downhill with 2 sacks and 4 TFLs on the season. He offers good twitch and fluidity in his change of direction, is a willing tackler, and is pesky at the catch point. Thomas should be one of the top returning pieces for the Canyon Springs secondary in 2026.

Thomas has quietly put his name on the Vegas 2027 DB radar with his level of play in the Canyon Springs secondary this season. The 5’10″/155 junior has shown a playmaking blend of physicality as a tackler and coverage skillset with 30+ tackles, 2 INTs, and 5 PBUs this season. He’s a versatile defender that’s shown ability to align as a second-level defender around the box as well as some perimeter CB. He’s aggressive to the ball, plays sticky in coverage on the outside, and can make tackles around the LOS at a high rate for a defensive back. Thomas is a 2027 DB to keep an eye on as he continues to develop.
