. The senior’s aggressive, strong, imposing play style was needed in the defensive battle that was the D6 State Championship Game. On offense, Kilty grinded his way to three yards and a cloud of dust. He did that over and over and it started to wear on the defense as the game went on. The senior also stepped up at his most natural position, LB. Koehler was all over the front seven, shedding blocks, shooting gaps, and mirroring the RB until he met them at the line. Kilty was key in shutting down the explosive Darlington run game. His instincts to go along with the imposing physical traits make Kilty an intriguing next level prospect. Bemidji State has a good one on the way.

Stats: 36 Carries, 220 Yards, 2 TDs, 9 TacklesrnThere isn’t much to be said about the dominant two way senior athlete out of Stratford that hasn’t been said already. Koehler is a truly dominant player, and has led Stratford to back to back State appearances. He has one ring already, and you can expect to see him be a massive part of the gameplan this week. With the ball in his hands, Kilty has a scary blend of power, balance, and athleticism. He can burst through gaps between the tackles or lower his shoulder and make his own hole. Koehler has a strong base that is hard to knock off balance allowing him to pile up yards after contact. That power shows up at LB too as he runs through OL blocks on his way to tackles. On both sides of the ball, Koehler is a decisive athlete who is quick to process what he reads and react. He is one of the top uncommitted seniors in the state.

Stats: 15 TacklesrnKoehler dominated on both sides of the ball in Week 7, but that is nothing knew for the senior standout from Stratford. I believe the monster in the middle of the Stratford defense and backfield fits best at LB, so that is where we focus on him this week. The 6’1″ 210 lbs athlete is a tough matchup at LB. He plays with an impressive blend of athleticism and power. Koehler has developed a great base of strength to easily toss OL aside on his way to the ball carrier. He easily maneuvers between the tackles with his lateral agility and power. His short area burst allows him to close quickly, hit gaps, and deliver hard hits at the point of contact. Kilty also checks off the mental side of the game, quickly identifying plays and getting in position to shut them down. Koehler is continuing to work his way up the rankings and needs to be on the radars of a lot of teams at this point in his recruitment.

Koehler is another big, powerful back who shouldered a huge workload while leading his team to a State Championship. Kilty finished 10th in rushing yards while averaging just over 21 carries a game. Stratford loves to pound the ball with their big back and play tough defense up front. Kilty is a key piece to both of those things. Kilty could find himself in the running for PRZ WI Player of the Year with the ovearll stats he puts up. Not only will he have the workload to again push for the top rushing output in the state, but he is also the top returning tackler, and receiver on the team. He embodies the due it all type athlete.
