Sanchez is a very versatile linebacker who splits his time between being an off-ball linebacker and rushing off the edge. Measures in at 6’0 215 pounds. Last season, he accounted for 127 total tackles (47 solo, 80 assisted), 7 TFL, 1.5 sacks, 1 QB pressure, 2 PD, and 1 fumble recovery. Sanchez is a very explosive player with a quick step. Very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, change of direction, and good jumping. He excels as an edge rusher. Very good bend around the edge. He switches between a powerful bull rush and a very good spin move. Out in space, he uses his very good reactionary speed to lead him to the ball carrier. He has very good mental processing, and stays patient with tackling, not getting overzealous and missing the guy completely. Watch out for him to put up a nice senior season !

He’s an exciting player to watch, and I believe he will get a ton more sacks next season.

Sanchez will be a key player in Arvada West’s attempt to disrupt both the pass and run game. With sharp instincts and quick reaction time, Sanchez frequently finds his way into the backfield, making stops and causing chaos. His speed off the line and relentless pursuit make him a constant threat to the quarterback. When his number is called, he attacks with intensity, bringing down runners and QBs alike. Sanchez’s performance will be critical as Arvada West seeks to limit the opposing offense and make a statement in Round 1

Arvada West has a plethora of ballers, and we happen to have 2 on the list today. Sanchez and Pyatt are two top tier linebackers covering the middle for A.W. Sanchez had a nice night against Fairview, accounting for 15 total tackles (7 solo, 8 assisted) and 1 FR. He has good athletic ability due to good speed, acceleration, and change of direction. Good sideline to sideline speed too. Sanchez’s competitive toughness was on full display. He’d be consistently helping his teammates finish tackles, or rush across the field to get the tackle. He watches the QB’s eyes leading him to the ball carrier. If it wasn’t Pyatt wrapping up the ball carrier, it was Sanchez. He excels at stopping the run. Putting an end to the ball carrier’s journey right when they step in his path. I’m looking forward to seeing what else Sanchez has in store for the remainder of the season.

Sanchez was another backer/edge standout from week 1 and is a player that has a motor. He can play standing or with his hand in the dirt and bring pressure when his number is called. He has the vision to read run plays quickly and make plays in the backfield. He has the speed to put pressure on the QB and can bring the QB down when he gets his hands on him. He will be a player to keep on the radar and should be able to make a big impact on this defensive squad that can bring the heat.

Sanchez is a hybrid player that can bring the heat standing up or having his hand in the dirt. He has an explosive first step that helps him get on the linemen quickly and he has fast hands, being able to create separation and rip or swim through. He has the speed and strength to bull rush then dip around the edge to get into the backfield. When he lines up inside he is able to bully his opponent to make plays at or behind the line of scrimmage.
