Barnes hit the scene late last season, landing his first offer from Maryland in January. Since then, he’s been on a steady rise gaining more attention from scouts in the northeast. He holds 5 offers including Akron and Kent State and took visits to Villanova and Rutgers over this offseason. Barnes was a starter for the owls during the 2023 season and played very well, he has a very fluid and confident playstyle. Expect Barnes to be one of the Junior leaders of this team on their journey back to States.

Barnes earned 1st Team All County DB honors this season along with a few offers to cap off his breakout season. Barnes still has a lot to show on the field on both sides of the ball. As only a sophomore he starts at DB for Dundalk and plays wildcat quarterback, showing that his coaches trust him with the ball in his hands expecting for Barnes to make plays. So far this offseason he’s landed two offers from home state University of Maryland, and UNC-Charolette.
