Jenkins has been a consistent name as a stat leader and a familiar face to running backs around the county. Every time I come across this player he’s improved his game. As a freshman and sophomore starter in the MIAA at Mt. Carmel, he proved to be a sideline-to-sideline backer. Since joining the Dundalk program he’s put on a lot of size, growing from 210 to 235 currently and the power came with it. Jenkins is an absolute force in the center of that defense knocking defenders into the backfield any chance he gets. During the regular season Jenkins has accumulated 79 tackles, 14 TFL’s and 1 sack. He even showed some ball carrying skills with 258 rush yards and 7 rushing touchdowns.

Jenkins is an athlete who has been on the radar since his freshmen year making big hits and tackles sideline to sideline. Since then, he’s made the transfer to Baltimore County power Dundalk and picked up where he left off and even put on a few more pounds, now at about 240lbs. With the extra muscle he still flies to ball defensively and is even getting carries out of the backfield with the Owls. Last season’s stats were a heavy 21 TFL’s and 7 sacks. Just yesterday he received an official scholarship offer from the University of Maine.

Jenkins is a weapon in the center of the field, he’s always around the ball and delivers echoing hits. I had the opportunity to watch Jenkins in his game against West Essex (NJ) where he stood out from kick off to zeros on the clock. He had big hits on special teams as well as on defense, forced fumbles, and consecutive tackles during drives. He’s already 6’1 210lbs with plenty of time to continue to develop and improve. His next level of play is expected to be big time, he was already a standout player on this team.
