. He led his team to a win over Garrard County, completing 9/15 passes for 239 yards and three touchdowns. As a passer, Custard showed impressive improv ability, showing the ability to escape pressure while keeping his eyes down the field to make tough throws on the run. He also proved to be a very dangerous threat in the run game, showing impressive speed and elusiveness as a ball carrier. Custard finished the game with 22 carries for 218 yards and three touchdowns. He also played a role on defense, coming away with an interception. Kaydon currently holds offers from Kentucky State, Otterbein, Calumet College, Oakland City, and Bellarmine, and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the next level.

Custard capped off the final regular season game of his prep career with yet another double-take performance in his Thorobreds’ 46-31 win over Garrard County, completing 9 of 15 pass attempts for 239 yards and 3 touchdowns and adding another 218 yards rushing, 3 touchdowns and a two-point conversion on 22 carries. Defensively, he also contributed 8 solo tackles, 1 assist and 1 interception from his safety position. Currently the #2 passer in Class AAAA, the #9 rusher and the #4 scorer, he has averaged over 354 yards of total offense and 13.4 points per game this fall while leading his Harrison County program to a 6-4 record, their highest win total since 2018. The 4th-leading tackler on his program’s defensive unit as well with 65 total stops, 1 tackle for loss and 3 interceptions, Custard’s speed, athleticism and exceptional versatility make him a desirable prospect as either a dual-threat quarterback or a drop-down safety/rover defender at the next level. He currently has the eyes/interest of numerous programs at the NAIA, Division III and Division II levels.

. He has been impressive through his first six games, completing 82/163 passes for 1,446 yards, 16 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Custard has the arm strength to truly stretch the field and take the top off the defense in the deep passing game. While he is impressive as a passer, he is just as electric in the run game. Custard currently leads the team in rushing with 109 carries for 801 yards and 12 touchdowns. Kaydon currently holds offers from Kentucky State, Otterbein, Oakland City, Calumet College of St. Joseph, and Bellarmine, and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the next level.

makes an appearance on my top performers list for the second straight week. Custard put together another very impressive performance, leading his team to a victory over Estill County. Kaydon showed the ability to stretch the field as a passer, completing 17/30 passes for 245 yards and four touchdowns. He also displayed his true dual-threat ability once again, running the ball 10 time for 57 yards and two touchdowns. Custard also played a key role on defense, returning one interception for a touchdown. Kaydon currently holds offers from Otterbein and Oakland City but I expect more to come his way soon as he has put college coaches on notice in the first two weeks over his senior year.

After accounting for over 2,800 yards of total offense and finishing last season as one of the Thorobreds’ leading tacklers, it certainly comes as no surprise that Custard has excelled this early in his senior season, but the sheer levels of production that he has achieved both offensively and defensively is truly noteworthy. For instance, in his second game this season–a 56-46 shootout victory over visiting Estill County–he accounted for a total of 7 touchdowns. At quarterback, he completed 17 of 30 pass attempts for 245 yards and 4 touchdowns while also gaining 57 yards and scoring 2 touchdowns on 10 carries. Defensively, he contributed 6 solo tackles and an assist from his position in the secondary and topped off this stellar evening with an 80-yard “pick six” interception return. Currently holding an offer to join D3’s Otterbein College program, with over 900 yards of total offense and 46 points in his first two contests, additional interest, attention and offers from next-level schools appear directly forthcoming.

from Harrison County. Custard had a very impressive first game, leading his team to a victory over Calloway County. He showed the ability to stretch the field as a passer, completing 18/28 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns. Custard also proved to be a very dangerous threat as a ball carrier, running the ball 34 times for 316 yards and four touchdowns. Kaydon currently holds an offer from Otterbein and I expect more to come his way as he definitely has the talent to play quarterback at the next level.

cracks my top performers list. While his team fell short to Bourbon County, Custard put on quite the show. He threw for 395 yards and five touchdowns while also running the ball 22 times for 128 yards and three scores. As a passer, he displayed a very strong arm, leading his receivers in the deep passing game but also showed the ability to make throws on the run and fit passes into tight coverage. When nothing was there in the passing game, he used his breakaway speed to run away from the defense to pick up big gains on the ground. Kaydon doesn’t currently hold any offers but college coaches should be taking notice as he is a special talent.

from Harrison County. Custard put on quite the show Friday, leading his team to a 49-22 victory over Anderson County. He finished the game completing 8/17 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns while running the ball 13 times for 138 yards and three scores. Custard thrived running the read option, showing the speed to pick up big plays and elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. As a passer, he showed impressive accuracy and zip on the ball while also showing the ability to make throws on the run. Custard also made an impact on defense, coming away with an interception. While he has been receiving a lot of interest from colleges for basketball, Kaydon has the skill set to play football at the next level if he were to decide to go that route.
