has steadily progressed for the Monarchs behind center and improved year over year as he got more comfortable in their system. He’s still raw in some areas for the position, but Knapp’s upside as a prospect can’t be ignored. He has the size and athleticism to play QB or move around positionally at the next level with D2 upside.

can elevate his game as a senior, look for the Monarchs to surprise a lot of teams on their schedule. After a 2-8 campaign last season, Knapp and his teammates are looking to flip the script in 2025 and have the potential to do so. He’s shown a lot of flashes during his career, but he needs to put it all together this fall to reach his and the team’s ceiling. Knapp has the size and athleticism to earn D2 looks as a QB or ATH this season.

eventually took the reins as the season went on. Knapp just wrapped up a very good basketball season for the Monarchs and is a quality overall athlete whose upside is very high. While he nor his team were happy with how last season went, Knapp flashed real potential behind center at times and showed he can develop into one of the better 2026 quarterbacks in the state. He has great early size at 6’3 185 and proved he has the athleticism to be a dual-threat QB. Knapp has a quick release with fluid mechanics from snap to throw. He showed flashes of operating well within the pocket and can make defenders miss inside of it or take off and run where he’s also dangerous. Knapp also showed the ability to make tough throws from a variety of angles and platforms with apparent arm strength that can stretch the field. He has experience operating under center and from the shotgun showing he can execute either. If Knapp continues taking the next steps in his development over the next two years, he can finish as one of the state’s best in the 2026 class.

Knapp is a highly intriguing quarterback thanks to his size and his arm talent. There is a lot to like about the Glen Dale native. He’s got an easy and fluid motion, his arm strength is very good with a nice zip on his ball and he shows good ball placement to all levels of the field. Good athlete who can make plays with his legs as well. Smooth and effortless mechanics as well. Throws the ball with anticipation and can fit the ball into some tight windows as well. Very impressive tape.
