Mr. Ryan works as a QB as well as a linebacker on defense. On offense, he can pull the ball down to scramble as he weaves in/out of defenders to keep the chains moving and isn’t afraid to lower his shoulder when doing to to play through contact. This young man does have foot quicks to him which is showcased both when he’s scrambling and in one instance on a receiver screen. Here, he got vertical quickly once he secured the catch and broke a long run for a big gain. Switching over to defense, he can close quickly between the tackles to meet the ball carrier in the hole for no to little gain and does a good job disengaging blocks to secure the tackle in the hole. This is an overall athlete to get on your radar as currently he’s uncommitted. He most recently picked up an offer from Upper Iowa University earlier this month. Twitter
