, who is leading a stingy Rosemount Irish into the 6A state playoffs with the best regular season resume in the state and a ton of talent across three graduating classes reinforcing him. Gilbertson is one of the hardest hitters in the state who always has a fun tape to watch, and his instincts, production, and general explosive tackling ability have paid off as the Iowa State Cyclones offered a PWO on October 24th that he happily accepted on November 3rd. The 6’1, 205 lber. came into the season with plenty of DII scholarship and FCS roster spots, but the bright lights of Big12 football were too hard to ignore. I love how he works through blocks with both speed and power, identifies and flows to the ball quickly, and absolutely lays the wood at the point of contact. One of the hardest hitters on this list!
