Jysir is a Defensive Line prospect with a good frame. Shows good initial upfield burst in his play, with good use of hands and strength to engage offensive linemen and read the backfield. He displays a quick lateral movement that allows him to shed blocks. I believe he has the ability to play in a single-gap and a two-gap defensive scheme. Shows good pursuit on the play in the backfield and down the line of scrimmage. I like the foundation of his game and am excited to see how he plays during the next two seasons.

Jysir’s athleticism is immediately apparent in his film. His quick first step allows him to consistently beat offensive guards, as demonstrated by his impressive pick-six against Precious, the opposing quarterback. This exceptional speed and agility are consistently showcased throughout his defensive tackle highlights. His combination of size and speed enables him to also play the edge, consistently beating tackles around the corner. Jysir displays remarkable strength, enabling him to effectively engage offensive linemen before shedding blocks to make tackles in the backfield. While his technique exhibits areas for improvement, this is expected as a sophomore. His tendency to stand too high at times, but his exceptional athleticism allows him to still make plays without the greatest techniques. This correctable aspect of his game, suggests significant future improvement and enhanced dominance. At 6’1″ and 220 pounds, Jysir’s size is already impressive for a sophomore, and his projected  continued growth in both size and speed  will keep him among Virginia’s top defensive linemen.
