Ranked 50th overall in our 2027 class, Xavier Kennard Xavier Kennard 6'2" | 263 lbs | OL Graham | 2027 State VA is turning heads this off-season and he was hands down the best linemen we had on site for our Winter showcase. He is dominant at the line of scrimmage, I do not believe he lost one rep during the 1vs1s portion. I would anticipate his offers coming in before week the first team all district linemen has earned them.

Xavier Kennard Xavier Kennard 6'2" | 263 lbs | OL Graham | 2027 State VA won the MVP for the offensive line at the showcase. He was consistently the best offensive lineman at the showcase. He is a good athlete who moves well. His ability to fire out of his stance and use his athleticism to stay in front of defenders is excellent. He is also built like a brick house. He has great strength, and he can control defenders when he blocks them because of that. He was consistently the best offensive lineman during one-on-one competitions where no one could get around him. Finally, Kennard actually mixed in some defensive line reps and did well there as well. He is a talented player who can do it all.

Question: How can he handle an elite pass rusher?

He has good size (6’3′) and strength. His ability to overpower defenders is impressive. My question is can he handle elite pass rushers? They are a talented group of defensive linemen, so we will find out on Saturday.

Solid height and a very good frame and size. Currently at 6’03” likely making him a Guard prospect, but if he can hit the 65″ threshold, he will be a Tackle. Good athletic ability with very good explosiveness, balance, lateral agility, good flexibility, foot quickness, hand quickness, acceleration, solid foot speed, and change of direction. Very good Pass Protector, with good set points and quick feet, allowing him to keep leverage and a half-man relationship when mirroring defenders. Quick and powerful punch that stuns pass rushers to put them off balance, allowing him to quickly anchor and win the rep. Very good Gap blocker, coming off the ball with very good pad level and explosiveness into his block, driving defenders out of his gap in Base, Down, and Double Team blocks. Very good Zone blocker and Pull Blocker. Using his very good lateral movement to efficiently move in space, with the strength to engage his block with good form and explosiveness to win his rep and finish his block. Would like to see him stay square longer on Vertical sets to not open inside moves for pass rushers. Overall, a very good prospect who will be a Division 1 Tackle prospect if he can get to 6’05”. A dependable offensive line prospect who displays the athleticism and strength needed and can operate in any blocking scheme.
