Juven showed against Yankton, how much vision he can have when he’s able to run in space in the open field, as those are the gaps that will be more fluidly open for Juven at the next-level. Juven is a RB prospect that has significantly been a name I have been tracking quite a bit this summer from his showing at the Minnesota camp a few weeks back to Thursday’s showing at South Dakota State. There is no doubt that Juven is one of the fastest running backs in the 2024 class that South Dakota has to offer, however he took a skillset that I had been watching to watch develop on tape and showed it off significantly well in Brookings on Thursdays. That skillset I mentioned was his ability to get yards after contact and I thought Juven did a excellent job of showing that off in drills at the Jackrabbits camp on Thursday afternoon. This young man is extremely elusive with his change of direction and if he can put together consistently what I saw at SDSU towards his senior season at Watertown, he will have a huge senior season. Juven is another one that added a new NSIC offer from what he showed off on Thursday as Juven looks to be a stockriser up our 2024 class rankings from his impressive summer at camps.

As a 2024 South Dakota prospect, I knew before camp just how speedy Watertown’s Juven Hudson was however I thought he showed off even more agility during the Minnesota camp on Wednesday than what I grasped on tape from his 2022 season with the Arrows. For 5’10 170 pounds Juven also showed off more power in his lower body at the Minnesota Camp as well as he showed off some elusive skillsets that are intriguing with his next-level skillsets. You don’t mind too many running backs at Juven’s size in South Dakota that have the durability off first contact he has on his plate as it was evident on Wednesday that he has grown more explosion in his lower body since my last evaluation. Juven has no offers yet, but I certainly expect his recruiting to pick up after camp season especially in the Northern Sun for sure.
