Julian has an explosive first step which he follows by using his strength to bull rush straight through opposing offensive linemen. He has also shown the ability to use a good variety of pass rush moves to defeat blocks. Smith finished his sophomore season with eight sacks in 11 games. He also proved to be very reliable against the run, finishing the year with 62 tackles and 12 tackles for loss. Smith will be a player to pay close attention to this offseason.

Once he gets through the line of scrimmage, he does a great job of finishing at the quarterback, finishing the season with eight sacks in 11 games. He also showed the ability to stop the run, accounting for 62 tackles and 12 tackles for loss. Smith doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player who I expect college coaches to have on their radar this season.

Smith lined up at defensive tackle where he was very disruptive as a pass rusher. He showed the ability to explode out of his stance and use his speed to shoot the inside gap before the opposing offensive line had a chance to react. Smith did a great job of finishing at the quarterback, recording four sacks in the win. He also showed the ability to stop the run, finishing the game with nine tackles and a forced fumble. Julian will be a player to keep a close eye on as he continues to develop moving forward. Smith and the Eagles have a tough test ahead of them this week in a road semifinal matchup against Kentucky Country Day.

Once he sees where the ball is going, he has shown the high motor to get to the ball carrier in a hurry to make the tackle. Julian finished this past season with 45 tackles and seven tackles for loss in 12 games.

Smith has proven to be a very reliable tackler once he gets to the ball carrier, finishing this past season with 47 tackles and seven tackles for loss in 12 games. He has also shown the ability to rush the passer, finishing his freshman year with two sacks. Smith should definitely be a player to keep an eye on heading into his sophomore year.
