Originally a Syracuse commit, Zayas has since decommitted and reopened his recruitment. St. Thomas Aquinas made the decision to change coaches, moving on from Tarig Holman and proceeding with Jonathan Germano. Germano then changed his mind and resigned before ever coaching a game. As a result, the school had to change courses and ultimately settled on Shamir Bearfield as their head coach.
