Spindler stood out to me when watching South Hardin during the Class 1A state semifinals at the UNI-Dome during December. The present level of production along with room for growth was confirmed during his sophomore highlight video. Spindler hauled in 13 balls for 161 yards and a touchdown, and averaged 24.2 yards on five kick returns and 8.0 on a pair of punt returns. He really shined on defense, however, with 36.0 tackles, 26 of which were solo stops. Spindler came up with 1.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions and five passes defended. He can line up in coverage on the outside or in the slot. Sometimes he slips into a safety look. A broad sets of skills help him defend the pass or come up in run support.
