Expert Analysis
Rob Howe | Prep Redzone Scout
Prep Redzone Iowa has Adams as its No. 4 running back in the state’s 2028 Class, per its latest rankings update. That’s coming off of a sophomore season that saw him rumble for 1,283 yards (6.3 YPC) and 14 touchdowns on a team that reached the semifinals last season. He also contributed 20 tackles (14 solo, 2.5 TFL), and Redzone scouts that saw him working on that side of the ball on the camp circuit this summer liked what they saw. Versatility is a good thing and provides more paths to college. Carrying the football following a handoff is a known skill, as we can see when watching his 10th-grade highlight video. The size and power stand out right away, but there’s wiggle and burst as well. Another gear can be hit in the open field.

The LB group at the first NDSU FBS Prospect Camp of the summer was stacked to the brim with talent of all ages, and an immediate eye-catcher out the gates came out of Iowa and South Hardin High School. Kameron Adams, a versatile rising junior with a good build and obvious strength in his frame, possessed a large lower body that could generate some serious power in a variety of LB-related settings. Adams showed he could run the hoop cleanly and with some bend during drill work, and he transitioned well to 1v1s, where his explosive get-off, twitch, heavy and active hand usage, and overall physicality, made him a disruptive and overall productive force during 1v1 pass pro/rush reps against RBs.

has grown into a force for the Tigers’ offense. Adams took over as the varsity starter in 2025 and ran for 1283 yards (6.3 YPC) and 14 TDs. Adams immediately stepped up to the plate and delivered greatly as the lead work-horse in the backfield, attacking his lanes with aggression, proving slippery to tackle, and once he broke into the open field, there was simply no catching him with his breakaway speed. Adams’ role for the Tigers’ offense will be even bigger in 2026 with a new QB under Center going forward.

. Kameron crossed a big milestone in joining the 1,000-yard club with 1,283 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on 203 carries. Kameron is a bigger back with great size at 6’0″ and 210 pounds who is a home run threat whenever he touches the ball. Watching his tape, my biggest takeaway is that Kameron is a physical, bouncy running back who isn’t afraid to seek contact and also has the twitch to shake defenders in tight quarters. Great burst once he’s cleared the second level with top-tier breakaway speed.
