We witnessed his grind for Division One status, a status that many didn’t think he could achieve. He proved doubters wrong. Holy Cross is getting a lefty quarterback that can stand in the pocket, read half the field, and make timely decisions downfield after reading his key defenders. The beginning of his tape shows how well he can locate downfield. Jenkins will benefit greatly early on at Holy Cross, mostly in terms of improving his footwork, as well as cleaning up some mechanical issues. Holy Cross is banking on this kid’s upside, which is understandable. He’s grown into the position, proving his coachability. Excited for his future.

Jenkins currently has an offer from one FCS program (VMI) & a host of division two schools as well. Josh is a perfect example of how the transfer portal has limited good high school prospectus athlete’s collegiate opportunities. That’s the only way I can make sense of him having only one FCS offer. The Left-handed QB has a strong arm and a quick discharge. He’s good at reading coverages & finding his weapons vertically. Jenkins is a great athlete that’s capable of playing multiple positions hypothetically. Although the senior prospect is athletically versatile, he’s more than qualified to play the college Quarterback position.

This marks the first time I have gotten a chance to cut on tape out of  Sto-Rox senior quarterback Josh Jenkins Josh Jenkins 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Sto-Rox | 2023 State PA . I have always been high on the kid. The work Jenkins has put in this offseason has certainly translated on to the field. This is the best version of Jenkins I’ve seen thus far. His pocket presence in this one is plus, showing off subtle movements, or even staying in the pocket, not panicking if he doesn’t need to escpae the pocket. Jenkins saw the middle of the field well, hitting various seam routes between linebackers and safeties. His confidence seems to have grown as well. A step in the right direction for Jenkins.

Jenkins showed a lot of accuracy & arm strength on several throws. On one TD completion, he rolled left, & threw right across the field with accuracy & zip on the ball. He completed outs & timing routes with good anticipation & precision. Josh finished the game 17/28 275 yds, 3 TDs & led the Vikings rushing with 69 yds. 

The Lefty displays good footwork in the pocket. Jenkins has a strong arm, & knows when to put touch on the football. Josh is able to complete deep balls with precision & accuracy. He is a high volume passer that spreads the ball around to arsenal of weapons. JJ will be great in a zone read & RPO offensive schemes on the next level. His 40 yd dash is 4.5 & he is nightmare scrambling. Jenkins is clearly a gifted athlete that is capable of playing multiple positions in the college ranks. Programs will be tempted to change his position, but I believe he has the talent at QB.
