is a strong edge prospect for St. X and has the potential to be a top defensive lineman. He is a very good run defender who can attack the inside shoulder of opposing guards, shed and wrap up behind the LOS. I love his ability to stunt, create misdirection against blockers and reach the backfield. I saw him in-person during the season and was impressed with his athletic ability. Good size, strength and first-step quickness.

While Fasbender didn’t really rack up much in the way of stats, but he did a good job of eating blocks and freeing up their linebackers to make plays. He has the size and strength to play the running game. As a pass rusher he has some sneaky athleticism where you can see him dip and bend and win the gaps.

Quick first step, has consistently displayed ability to get to the inside shoulder of opposing tackles, be disruptive, penetrate the LOS and wrap up against the run. Plays low and with good bend and leverage. Junior year will determine level, would expect his stock to increase after college camps. Has a lot of upside.

Fasbender is a player that I expect to be a quick riser through the rankings as he continues to develop. He lines up at defensive tackle for Saint X. At 6’5 255 Josh has a great blend of size and athleticism. At the next level I like him as a 4-3 nose tackle or a 3-4 defensive end. His frame, length, and athleticism will allow him to two-gap at a high level. When you watch his film you see a player who bends well and has the lateral movement capabilities to dip and shoot gaps. He possesses great awareness and the ability to be explosive in pursuit. He sheds well after engaging the defender. The main thing I’m looking for now is him just getting stronger and more violent at the point of attack. The competition that Fasbender plays at a program like Saint Xavier will help him to develop and put out the film that will allow him to produce high level evaluations. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Josh started to get P4 interest and possibly offers this offseason. It should be a big offseason for the sophomore Bomber defensive lineman.
