Joseph Work Joseph Work 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Aliquippa | 2026 State PA transferred last season, and he could not play in the playoffs. So last week, he played for the first time in the playoffs in Aliquippa’s upset win over Trinity, and he played as a man possessed. He played as a linebacker and running back, and he was outstanding. As a linebacker, he was making plays in the run game by tackling almost everything. Then, as a running back, he was a difference maker. Next up is a talented New Castle team. Work will need to continue his hot streak.

Joseph has great 2024 tape. He’s versatile and can work on all three sides of the game. His biggest asset is his explosiveness. When lined up as a pass rusher, he can often time get into the backfield before a tackle lays a hand on him. He has good bend and hits like a truck. Joseph has shown the ability to cover in previous film, and he could even flex out as a nickel/strong safety if he were comfortable to doing. Every football team wants someone like Joseph on their team.

Joseph Work Joseph Work 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Aliquippa | 2026 State PA transferred from Central Valley to Aliquippa. Work is a good outside linebacker prospect. He does a great job of setting the edge. Any play runs towards his side, he either makes the tackle or forces it inside. Then, when it comes his way, he is a good tackler in the open field. He also shows a motor that never stops as he constantly is chasing plays downfield. Work is a good linebacker prospect who has the potential to play at an even higher level.

Joseph Work Joseph Work 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Aliquippa | 2026 State PA is a good linebacker with the instincts to play the position. Work does a nice job of reading his keys and triggering downhill. He is excellent at reading and making run plays. Work is also a terrific tackler, especially in the open field. When a ball carrier gets tackled by Work they feel it from his physical tackling ability. He also shows good hustling by constantly chasing down plays all over the field. Work is a talented prospect at linebacker.

The former Central Linebacker is now up to 5-foot-10 and nearly 200-pounds. The 2026 prospect put together a solid showing at the showcase and did a good job in my opinion continuing to raise his stock. He’s been receiving FCS and FBS interest that should only continue now that he’s with the Quips. Good athlete who moves well, shows the ability to drop back in coverage. Work has continuously improved throughout his career and I’m excited to see the next steps in his development now that he’s with the Quips.

Not quite sure how there isn’t a program with an offer out to Work. This kid lights it up everywhere on the field. He’s a hybrid SS/OLB, and he plays that role well. He has great coverage skills, and lays the boom on anyone in his way. Once someone pulls the trigger on Work, I wouldn’t be surprised if his recruitment blew up.
Vic Castillo Vic Castillo RB PA sees Work as a Top 15 linebacker in his class, likely a D1 grade.

Work is a hard-nosed 2026 underclassman who’s been putting in ‘work’ on both sides of the ball this season. He’s a versatile player that has taken reps at WLB, SS, and RB in ‘23. Work is a reliable tackler that displays good tempo getting to the ball from either LB or SS. I expect JJ to break a couple of TD runs before the year is up at RB too. Work is an instinctive player on defense and has flashed the ability to break tackles as a ball carrier. Similar to his teammates, JJ gives a tremendous effort on special teams consistently. Work is still young but has displayed a lot of potential thus far in the first half of the season.
