Bloomington Jefferson’s Joe Moore has been playing at a high level through the first three weeks of his junior season, and although the Jags sit at 1-2 with tough losses to Hastings and Cretin-Derham Hall the past two contests, Moore’s been playing his butt off. The junior is sitting at 28 completions on 37 attempts (75.7%) for 284 yards and 3 TDs to 1 INT against quality 5A competition, and vs. CDH, Moore showed he can extend plays with his legs, is a good scrambler in the pocket, and can throw with accuracy off platform. He owns exciting burst, shiftiness, and overall comfortability toting the rock as a ball carrier, and produced an impressive goal line TD score thanks to some fantastic leg drive and effort from the junior QB. Moore spread the ball around well to his playmakers against good competition.

vs. Hastings, Moore climbs the pocket smoothly and effectively, can rocket the ball well off-platform and from different angles, and he flashed a strong arm and will set his feet and deliver a strike through upcoming contact and a big hit looming. Moore displays noticeable velocity, a quick release, good timing on routes all around the field, and the ability to move the chains for his offense with his legs. Good athlete and will bang it between the tackles too. PRZMN will be watching Moore closely this fall!

The projected QB1 for the Jaguars ahead of their fall camp is talented rising sophomore Joe Moore. He saw a tiny amount of varsity time as a freshman, but returns as a highly touted prospect who could make waves early on in his career. His JV tape was very impressive, particularly with his ability to throw on the run. His arm strength is exceptional, and he’s able to heave balls 30+ yards downfield both off platform and across his body. He’s calm in the pocket and takes a hit if it means delivering a dime. Moore is an athlete to watch in 2025.

Staying in Jefferson, the Jaguars have a promising prospect who’s in prime contention of taking over as the starting QB in 2025 in Joseph Moore Joseph Moore 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Bloomington Jefferson | 2028 State MN . Seeing a lot of reps on JV last season, Moore worked best on plays where he was scrambling or rolling out, showing solid accuracy on the run. Moore showed intriguing improvisational skills, and a willingness to take shots down the field to make something happen out of a broken play. While it has it’s risks, Moore was able to make this work, showing good depth and accuracy under pressure. Moore’s skillset could be more refined as he potentially moves into the varsity lineup this year, but the playmaking ability is there, giving him an edge toward Jefferson giving him the opportunity to start next season.
