Pleased with Jose Sabastro Jose Sabastro 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB Avon Grove | 2026 State PA ‘s performance at this event. Safe to say, and I’ve been thinking this since the season ended, I feel as though I’m drastically underselling Sabastro’s potential based on his current ranking. That will change with our incoming 2026 rankings update, Sabastro is in line for a boost.

A shame that I didn’t capture many of his 1v1 wins on video, yet I was in attendance, of course, to see Sabastro win against LBs left and right. Impressed with his use of tempo, impressed with his final gear too. When hit, Sabastro was able to create separation deep and win on routes further than 15 yards. More than anything, I’m impressed by Sabastro’s build. A thick lower body that has and will continue to help him stay balanced between the gaps. Named a Top Five performer post-event, his wins as a pass-catcher forced my hand here. Glad he came out and performed well.

Question I Want Answered: How well does he do in the individual position drills?

Jose Sabatro is a quick running back who does his best work when he meets a defender and can make a move against them. He shows a good burst and an ability to make defenders miss. The question I want answered is How well does he do in individual position drills. I think he has a chance to do well at the showcase.

5’8, 185 pounds. 3.55 GPA. Currently ranked modestly among 2026 PA backs. Looking back at his tape and how Sabastro performed at our most recent PRZ camp, I feel like I might have Sabastro a bit too low. Excited to see what he can do this weekend against fantastic out-of-state competition.

The game was out of reach early into it, yet Avon Grove’s Jose Sabastro Jose Sabastro 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB Avon Grove | 2026 State PA was able to leave a mark in this one. Owen J. Roberts flocked to the football and made sure any splash plays were shut down quickly. Sabastro was a good outlet for Hoogerwerff, catching three balls near the LOS. Sabastro also racked up a respectable 30-40 yards on the ground. Sabastro looked solid when given a chance.
