McDonald is one of the top unsigned prospects across Idaho and has elite length and size for the outside receiver position. He can stretch the field vertically and get over the top of safeties and has a huge catch radius while able to make off-platform catches from various body angles. He is a very smart route runner that can get off press man coverage and knows how to settle in the soft spots in the middle of the field. He moves extremely well for his size and is a fluid athlete that has tons of growth potential at the next level.

McDonald checks into our rankings as the number 3 prospect across Idaho at his position and it’s at the top 40 overall. He is a big plate possession receiver that also could stretch the field and has a huge catch radius with strong hands when making contest catches. He is a long strider that can cover ground quickly off the line and gets over the top of safeties with ease. He is yet another prospect that has been flying under the radar and has elite length and size for the position in college and will be a late steal here over the next few weeks.

McDonald showed why he was the state high jump champion this season with his ability to really attack the football in the air. He was a monster when it came to the 50/50 ball thrown his direction. Where he really improved was in his route running ability, as he was able to create separation at the top of his routes along with get in and out of breaks with more fluidity. He has a huge catch radius and should be a name college are looking at this offseason.

McDonald is going to be an impact player at wide receiver where he is able to really go up and win the 50/50 ball. He is an elite jumper but where he shows the most improvement is in his route running and body control.

McDonald is a big time down field target with a huge catch radius, long speed to get open vertical and has outstanding tracking abilities and ball skills in traffic. He checks into our rankings as the number two receiver across Idaho, and should be able to find a home at the next level, especially with his growth potential and size/length. On film, he shows he can run both vertical and across the field, can settle in zone coverage while able to get off press at the LOS and use his big frame to box out smaller corners. Look for the Boise standout to have a huge year and collect plenty of post-season accolades.
