The Boise standout has been the top back in Idaho to start his senior season and leads the state in rushing through the midway point. He is a balanced and powerful back that gets downhill quickly, bounces off contact and has a third level gear and should fit nicely at the NAIA/D2+ level in college and is going to be a quality late steal. He has rushed so far for 700+ yards and 12 touchdowns while averaging almost 10 yards per carry which is good for also the top stat in the state in that category. He should be well over the 1,200 yard rushing marker by seasons end and has been a breakout star to start the year.

McDonald is going to be one of the better steals of any prospect in Idaho and is a bigger more physical back that looks for contact in the hole and is a natural receiver out of the backfield as well that checks all the boxes of a every down back. He has been on a tear in his Senior year through the first two weeks and has had back to back strong showings against top competition. McDonald rushed for 180 yards and 2 scores on Friday night against Capital in a 42-27 point win against a explosive offense with some good pieces.

McDonald is one of the better backs in the state and is a big and physical runner that looks for contact inside and keeps his legs driving through contact with natural forward lean and contact balance through the hole. He is explosive off the ball, gets downhill quickly and has a second level burst with cutback abilities and stays patient behind his blocks with cutback abilities in the open field. He also shows he can catch the ball out if the backfield and quickly get upfield and has some good wiggle in the open field. He can play on either side of the ball at the next level and has been a top five ATH in our rankings for some time now. Expect a big final campaign from him coming up here starting this weekend.

He is a long and physical ball carrier that can chunk yardage quickly, shows the ability to run through contact, gets behind his blocks before hitting his second gear and is a natural pass catcher out of the backfield as well.
