Expert Analysis
Cole Dobbins | Prep Redzone Scout
Carraway is a big, bruising left tackle who has a lot of fun showcasing his talent while blocking for one of the best running backs in the nation. The force of an anchor excels in zone run schemes, displaying a powerful get-off, heavy hands, and a high motor to finish blocks into the second level. He also shows plenty of promise for the next level in pass pro, possessing solid technique and good pad-level. For his monstrous size, Carraway even demonstrates a decent mix of short-area quickness and change of direction as well. Just now entering his junior campaign, Jordan has all the traits and the frame necessary to be a national star at the LT position. The powerful blind side bodyguard has already compiled over 15 offers, from schools including Arizona, Penn State, and SMU.

Carraway possesses all the physical tools and attributes to become a dominant force at his position. Standing tall at 6’5″ and weighing 290 pounds, he has the ideal size and frame for an offensive lineman. Carraway’s exceptional footwork, combined with his extended arm length, allows him to effectively engage defenders and maintain leverage in both pass protection and run blocking.
Carraway’s agility and superb short-area quickness sets him apart, enabling him to excel in blocking schemes that require lateral movement and pulling. His ability to move fluidly and quickly off the line of scrimmage gives him an advantage over opposing defenders, allowing him to effectively seal off lanes and create running lanes for ball carriers.
Perhaps most impressive is Carraway’s mean streak and physicality at the point of attack. He embraces the physical aspect of the game and consistently looks to dominate his opponents, whether it’s driving them off the line or finishing blocks with authority.
With offers from programs such as San Diego State, Pittsburgh, North Texas, and Texas Tech, Carraway has the opportunity to choose a collegiate program where he can continue to develop his skills and make a significant impact on the field. With his combination of size, athleticism, and aggression, he has the potential to emerge as one of the premier offensive linemen in his class.

is a big time Class of 27′ offensive lineman coming out of Dallas, Texas. Jordan passes the eye test at first look, standing at 6’3, 281. He certainly has the frame to develop as he gets older and impressed me at the Prep Redzone Next South Middle School Camp in Texas. What stood out most was Jordan’s explosiveness, boasting a 6’3 broad jump, 5.47, and 8.75 L Drill at his size. This translates on the field, as Jordan’s first step and strong punch were shown in both individual drills and 1-on-1’s. Jordan has also opened some eyes by securing invites to several other showcases across the state. Jordan has the makings of being one of the elite offensive linemen in the country, and I am excited to see where his career takes him. A big time football program will make a huge splash from locking Jordan up in recruiting.

Carraway passes the eye test when he steps on the field. He has an enormous wing span, has nimble feet and good hip flexibility. During the run blocking portion of the linemen drills, Jordan showed off a quick first step, he plays with good leverage and has a tenacious mentality when he locks on a defender. Carraway has a strong punch with violent hands. Jordan was the most consistent lineman during one-on-one drills in the pass protection session. He gets into his kick slide quickly; he sets the table with a firm base and delivers a violent punch when he engages his opponent. Carraway has the skill set to develop into an elite level guard or offensive tackle as he heads into high school. He possesses the frame to add strength along with bulk that will catapult his stock up as he matures physically.

At 6-foot-2 and 252-pounds, Jordan is a big-time run blocker coming out of the Lone Star State. Watching his big frame move, Jordan has shown early that he could become a highly recruited offensive lineman in the future. Regarding his game, Jordan is a very hard worker and shows it on the field. He has no problem moving his opponents in the run game and opening up lanes for his running backs. His work ethic, coupled with his run-blocking ability, helps get his opponents on the ground for some nasty pancakes as well. Early on, Jordan has already proven to be an explosive offensive lineman, it’s going to be fun to watch how he develops as he gets set to enter high school in a few short months.
