There’s a reason Left Tackles are traditionally among the highest paid athletes on the team–they protect the guys who get the headlines. Not only do should they have to be ability to run block and pass block, but the big guys up front also set the tone early and often. Here are several Offensive Linemen that stood out.
Jordan Carraway Jordan Carraway 6’5″ | 290 lbs | OL Forney | 2027 State TX is a big time Class of 27′ offensive lineman coming out of Dallas, Texas. Jordan passes the eye test at first look, standing at 6’3, 281. He certainly has the frame to develop as he gets older and impressed me at the Prep Redzone Next South Middle School Camp in Texas. What stood out most was Jordan’s explosiveness, boasting a 6’3 broad jump, 5.47, and 8.75 L Drill at his size. This translates on the field, as Jordan’s first step and strong punch were shown in both individual drills and 1-on-1’s. Jordan has also opened some eyes by securing invites to several other showcases across the state. Jordan has the makings of being one of the elite offensive linemen in the country, and I am excited to see where his career takes him. A big time football program will make a huge splash from locking Jordan up in recruiting.
Highlights
Charlie is an elite offensive line prospect from Wylie, Texas. Measuring in at 6’4, 266, Charlie has the frame to be a big time offensive line prospect and projects as a offensive tackle. Charlie’s physicality is evident on film and his consistency during individual drills at the Prep Redzone Next South Middle School Camp in Texas stood out most. Charlie boasts strong technique and a high football IQ. It’s no surprise Charlie has been invited to several camps across the state. His unmatched nastiness is going to help him fly up recruiting boards across several big time programs. As Charlie matures physically, he has potential to be one of the top offensive line recruits in the state. I am excited to see him grow as a player in the coming years.
Devin Moody Devin Moody 6’0″ | 290 lbs | OL Brewer | 2027 State TX is an elite prospect from the talent rich area of Fort Worth, Texas. Devin Moody Devin Moody 6’0″ | 290 lbs | OL Brewer | 2027 State TX stands at 5’8, 298 lbs and looks like he will grow into a large frame down the road. Taking reps at both guard and tackle during the Prep Redzone Next South Middle School Camp in Texas, Devin proved that he can play just about anywhere on the offensive line at an elite level. Devin’s first step, solid technique, and strong hands allowed him to dominate his 1-on-1 reps. He was extremely technically sound during individual drills as well. Devin has attended several camps throughout the state and has showcased similar performances proving his consistency in training and work ethic. Devin will be one of the top offensive line prospects in the state as he develops physically, and I look forward to him taking his game to the next level.
