Charlie is a technically sound offensive tackle who plays with a composed and controlled approach on the edge. He shows good awareness in pass protection and does a solid job of keeping his base under him, allowing him to stay balanced against a variety of pass rush moves. Charlie is an elite offensive line prospect from Wylie, Texas. Measuring in at 6’4, 266, Charlie has the frame to be a big time offensive line prospect and projects as a offensive tackle. Charlie’s physicality is evident on film and his consistency during individual drills at the Prep Redzone Next South Middle School Camp in Texas stood out most. Charlie boasts strong technique and a high football IQ. It’s no surprise Charlie has been invited to several camps across the state. His unmatched nastiness is going to help him fly up recruiting boards across several big time programs. As Charlie matures physically, he has potential to be one of the top offensive line recruits in the state. I am excited to see him grow as a player in the coming years.

, but I can see a lot of similarities between the two players. Burkart is unofficially already 6-foot-4 (the same height as Birk) and currently weighs 250-pounds. The Burnett Junior High eighth-grader also plays Center, as did Birk. That said, Burkart has the size and length to also play Tackle if he needs to do so. What rarely shows up on film is his intelligence and over football IQ. He’s a very smart player who does a lot of the little things to get his Offensive Line unit moving in sync. Next year will be at Wylie East High School, where the Raiders are currently 5-0. Physically is bigger, stronger than most players right now but must work on keeping a lower pad level at point of contact. Has the brains and ability to be playing at a high level on Saturdays in the future.
