Hailing from right up the road at Brookings High that is going to soar upwards on our 2026 rankings based on what he showed off during the live eval is

. If you want a quarterback that brings a gunslinger mentality with every throw he makes, Jones is the quarterback you want in your QB room next-year. The quick release he has has gotten even quicker since my last live eval, and every throw Jones made at SDSU, was on time and showed off that he could fit in his throws quickly in tight windows. No offers yet for Jones either. Twitter

It’s hard to believe that Brookings has two 2026 quarterbacks in their program that both have the skills to play at the next level, with the other being

. Jones fits the bill as more of a pocket passer, but one that is quick and smooth with his releases and progressions. The 6’2 180 pounder, can consistently fire into tight windows with ease on intermediate routes and I have seen plenty of growth from Jones from my last live eval to tape. I’ll admit, he is surely due for a rise up our 2026 rankings as the Bobcats head into 2025 with easily the best one-two punch in their QB room.

of Brookings. Jones showed off good touch on the reps I caught out of him on Saturday and is a quarterback prospect that has two more years of upside to grow further. Although, I did see growth from Jones from the start of Indy drills thru the end of 1v1s that did show off quick upside growth that the common man might not see. He can develop on his precision and I would love to see him work on his upper body in the weight room to improve his arm strength as a 6’2 160 pound quarterback with solid upside still brewing.
