had a good showcase and earned a top 5 performance at the showcase. His size (6’7″) is undeniable as an offensive tackle. He is also a good athlete who moves well. His feet are excellent as he can move at a high rate. At times, speed pass rushers gave him some fits during one-on-one competitions. He did get better and seemed to improve, though, as the camp went on. The talent is there for Feliz as he can improve and continue to make strides as a player. He earned a top 5 performance at the showcase.
@JoeFeliz76 was a top performer at the PRZVA Showcase. On the rep below you see his size and strength to ride and edge defender out. He has a bright future. pic.twitter.com/Lck3F6TUt4

Question: How high is his ceiling?
Joe Feliz is a good offensive lineman. He has excellent size (6’7″) and athleticism. His ability to lock down edge defenders from his offensive tackle position is impressive. He has the feet and size to keep contain in pass blocking. The question is, how high is his ceiling? Because he has immense potential. Excited to see him work out on Saturday.

Joe is another transfer as he comes to Oakdale after being at St. John’s Catholic Prep (MD). A mammoth OT at 6’7″ 300 he brings size and a nice protector for Oakdale’s QB. Joe plays with nice strength and power to go along with solid footwork for someone his size. He bends well and keeps a nice solid base without over extending himself and getting off balance. A big junior year is in line for Joe. If he can show he can be a true LT and dominate the competition, then Joe will be a huge pick up for Oakdale. Look for him to be a rankings riser in the future and see his recruitment start to take off.

Feliz has the prototypical size, natural strength, and solid mechanics in both pass protection and the run game. For a player his size, his footwork and balance are good. A good number of his highlights are of the pass-protection variety. He counters speed rushers by playing with a broad base, good knee bend, and discipline not to overextend or lunge.
What I’d like to see from him this season: I’d like to see more film on him working in tandem with guards on combo blocks or executing double-teams at the point of attack. I also want to see more of him executing different run-blocking techniques such as down blocks, seal blocks, and run blocks. Nice find by my man Todd Haldis.
