Checking in on a current Division I graded prospect who sits inside the top 75 of Pennsylvania’s 2028 class. His measurables are mostly the same from when we last checked in at 6’1, 170 pounds, although a more recent tweet lists him at 177 pounds. That seven pound increase does make a difference and is a positive sign.
He received an FBS offer from UConn back in January but has been pretty quiet on social media since. He posted a midseason tape about 10 days ago, which is what I’m checking in on to determine whether he still holds that Division I grade.
It is worth mentioning that he plays in a run heavy offense. Even with that context, his acceleration and ability to separate early in reps immediately stand out as FBS level traits. One rep has him taking a drag/crossing route and accelerating straight past the coverage. His burst catches two defenders so off guard that they provide practically no resistance once he turns upfield.
He also aligns at safety. His second rep has him closing on a curl inside the hashes and delivering a huge hit, immediately showing another side of his game.
Offensively, he can align as a flanker and work within trips looks. His third rep has him blocking and pancaking a defensive back, springing a 60 yard touchdown in the process. The fourth rep has him skating past a flat footed corner and a safety who simply has no chance of catching up to his straight line speed. The ball is poorly thrown, but he makes a good body adjustment to secure it before showing his ability after the catch and making two defensive backs who caught up to the play miss.
More safety reps later in the tape show him coming downhill and blowing up inside runs. Those reps showcase his toughness and should bode well for any college coach wondering whether he is physical enough to play FBS football.
He catches a bubble screen later in the tape and once again shows off his playmaking ability and elusiveness despite being a relatively big target who is approaching 6’2. He has sure hands and can be trusted to consistently secure throws underneath 12 yards. Comebacks, hitches, curls and outs are all within his wheelhouse.
The athletic ability, straight line speed, toughness, blocking and versatility all remain evident. He will maintain his Division I grade and his ranking on our site.

Jermaine Crawford is an explosive athlete in the 2028 class. He has good size (6’1″) and athleticism. He is excellent at making defenders miss in the open field. He also shows a good catch radius. He can go up and catch the ball well. Crawford picked up an offer from UCONN. I expect a big season from him.

makes a massive jump all the way to No. 71 overall and immediately establishes himself among the better wide receiver prospects in Pennsylvania’s 2028 class. At 6’1, 170 pounds and only 16 years old, he already holds an offer from UConn. Callwood currently ranks as the No. 12 wide receiver in the state, though I believe he has room to climb much higher. In my opinion, this is a Power Four-caliber talent that has not yet received Power Four-level recruiting attention. The move from the watch list directly into the Top 75 is a major statement on our part. This ranking reflects belief in both the current player and future projection. The ceiling remains significantly higher than No. 71. If development continues, Callwood could see a meteoric rise over the next year.
