. Committing to VMI this past week, he was ranked fourth for his position group. Beverly is 6’3 and can fly, this a great for both parties. Congrats to this young man who had to overcome a season long injury to stay positive, this is a great story.

JC is the best blocking TE in the class of 2025 and is a key piece to LCA’s success. He can Gap and Zone block. He is a dependable receiver when called upon. Ranked inside the Top 200 in a loaded Class of 2025 in Virginia, JC is one of the best players in the state. Our rankings manager Vic Castillo wrote his evaluation of JC that you can view here.

6’3, 225 pounds on a build that can be suitable on both sides of the ball (TE/LB). Ranked inside the top three at tight end among his 2025 peers. All-District and All-Region, State Champion too, highly decorated. Can align in-line beside tackles, where he looks most comfortable. Can align split-out wide or in the slot, witnessed being moved pre-snap, you give this young man any designed momentum via scheme, you’ll turn his 230-pound frame into 250 pounds at the point of attack. Seen success being utilized as a leaker, works well opposite the flow of the offense. Great pinner contrast to tackles, an obvious candidate to keep in to chip and release. Is comfortable working in Play-Action Boot sets, is often the over route in these sets. Momentum when blocking can put on a few pounds on this frame, yet Beverly can lose a few pounds and float a bit when running routes, a testament to his athleticsm. If Beverly wasn’t a great impact blocker who can win 1v1s, I’d likely project him to be a future collegiate linebacker. That opportunity is still present, likely will be throughout his recruiting process.

JC is the best blocker of our ranked Tight Ends in my opinion, and he can also provide an alternative option in the passing game in Liberty Christian’s offense as well. He is a very good run blocker in both Gap and Run schemes showing good quickness out of his stance and very good explosiveness into his blocks with fluid hips to turn and drive defenders out of the gap. He shows good footwork angles that allow him to Reach block EDGE defenders and off-ball linebackers in Zone blocking schemes. His blocking is key to Liberty Christian’s offense and is someone to take notice of as they look to defend their state championship this fall.
