Vic Castillo | Prep Redzone Scout
5’10, 170, 4.0 GPA out of Jeannette. Production jumps off the page immediately. 60+ tackles, 1,000+ receiving yards, and 15 scores. Youngest captain in school history, which says a lot about leadership. Elite hands and body control for his size. Dangerous in the return game, both punt and kick. Basketball background shows in movement and coordination. Holds school record for receiving yards. Four-minute tape is efficient and packed with quality reps. Proven playmaker with real versatility. Recruitment should reflect that soon.

played well. He caught 8 passes and had 146 yards. Even though it might have been disappointing for Powell, he still played well this season for Jeanette. Other than being a talented wide receiver, he is also a good defensive back. Powell deserves a game ball for his season and the game this week.

is the name. The Jeannette 2027 standout has started this season the same way he ended 2024 as a true X-factor who flips games with his explosiveness. He’s a walking highlight reel, and his tape is full of moments where he takes a short touch and turns it into a long touchdown. As a receiver, Powell thrives in space. He’s lethal on tunnel screens, quick hitters, and gadget plays that put the ball in his hands early, using his burst and vision to carve through defenses. He also has the speed and instincts to stretch the field vertically, tracking the ball naturally and creating chunk plays downfield. Add in his knack for special teams and his ability to make plays at safety, and Powell’s impact covers all three phases of the game.

. A coach on the Jeannette sideline kept me up to date on all things Powell back some time ago, said coach is now in the college ranks. Powell’s freshman tape deemed him worthy of Top 150 mention, this among a star-studded 2027 Pennsylvania class. Powell is proving he belongs alongside some of the better names early on this season. 8 receptions for 250+ receiving yards. Huge per catch rate here, kid is a big play waiting to happen. 5 touchdowns through the air, while tacking on another passing and special teams score as a bonus. 7 scores in two games is special no matter how you slice it. If Powell continues to showcase game-breaking ability as an underclassman, it’s likely college coaches will pick up on his game sooner rather than later. Powell’s offensive stat line stands out, yet his prowess on the defensive side of the football shouldn’t go unnoticed. Exciting young prospect here.

is a homerun hitter every time he touches the ball. He flashed some serious big-time skills at receiver, defensive back, and as kickoff returner. At receiver, he is good at catching passes like bubble screens and creating a bigger play from it. At defensive back he made several big interceptions and flashed good cover skills. As a kickoff returner, you see his speed and elusiveness take over as he had several long returns. Powell is a talented player who should play even more next year for Jeanette.
