In the passing game, he is a match-up nightmare. Playing as a wide receiver, defensive backs cannot guard him one-on-one. He shows a good ability to catch the ball in between defenders. His route running is also good. Then he played tight end and caught the ball on various routes. He is also a good blocker. He destroys defenders as a blocker. Rocco has an offer from Lehigh. It's crazy he does not have more offers. As a wide receiver, he shows tremendous skills. He catches the ball well. He runs past defenders with the ball. He also plays wildcat quarterback, where he shows a good ability to run the ball. Then, on defense, he is a ball hawk. He is a good free safety. He shows an excellent ability to make plays in the back end. This past week, he had two interceptions. Both were great plays by him. Once he gets into the open field, he is off to the races. Thompson also has good size (6'1") and athleticism. He is a legit athlete. He is also a good linebacker. He reads his keys well and makes tackles in or near the line of scrimmage. He has amazing size (6'6") and athleticism. At tight end and as an edge defender, he is excellent. At tight end, he is outstanding. He catches the ball well. Then, as a blocker, he is incredible. He destroys kids. He does an excellent job of moving and blocking edge defenders. Then, as an edge defender, he is outstanding. Offenses struggle to block him one-on-one. Rankin can do it all on the football field. On one of his touchdowns this past week, he made a remarkable catch over a defender, then raced for a touchdown. The kid is darn right special with the ball in his hands. He recently picked up an offer from Bowling Green.
