Notes + Insight: Carper is one of the top 2028 signal callers in all of California and is a big framed passer with a rocket arm and strong pocket presence while able to make plays under pressure and has great feet in the pocket. He shows he can throw on the run and from various arm angles puts nice zip on the ball in tight coverage and always throws his receivers open at the third level. He should have a monster Senior season and only add more to his extensive offer list.

Several quarterbacks had good showings at the event but Carper was consistently delivering accurate balls during the one-on-one period. He has plus arm strength with a quick release and is a good rhythm thrower. Carper has grown a bit since I last saw him a year ago and he had a great day Sunday.

I didn’t see a ton of Carper at the event but in the reps I did see him take, he was making the correct reads during the 7-on-7 portion.

He got important reps as a freshman for a good Saint Bonaventure team this season and on film, he has a quick release and is really effective out of play action. I like that he also seems comfortable under center which is a rare quality in high school quarterbacks today.
