Very early on in my playing career it was explained to me that the offense has two distinct advantages over the defense: they know where the ball is going and when. Javon Gordon Javon Gordon 6'2" | 310 lbs | OL Paul VI | 2025 State NJ might have heard those same words, as he is one of the better prospects form this update in terms of weaponizing the snap count to gain an advantage. This causes him to ascend into the second level of the defense in a hurry, overwhelming linebackers in the process. Part of what make Gordon a real problem for defenses is that when he is in the second level, he is exceptional at coming to balance and sealing linebackers who look to scrape. Gordon also takes pride in dominating smaller matchups and bullying them around. When asked to pull he can pick up any leakage before he gets to the point of attack. Lastly, when pass protecting Gordon appears to control the inside of his matchup’s chest.
