is one of South Jersey’s more intriguing quarterbacks heading into the fall. The 6’4”, 190-pound signal caller from Paul VI strongly showed at the PSR Combine and carries a frame that screams long-term potential. He’s a lean 190 right now, but there’s plenty of room for him to grow physically and withstand the rigors of the position.
What stands out most is his calm demeanor in the pocket. Phalines has a solid presence, a smooth deep ball, and understands how to attack the sideline and middle of the field with touch. He consistently puts his receivers in position to rack up yards after the catch and doesn’t shy away from being aggressive when the opportunity presents itself.
He’s developing into that steady field, generally making smart reads, knowing when to take the checkdown, and when to let it rip. With a pair of capable receivers on the outside and momentum coming out of the offseason, Phalines will be a name to track as he chases his first Division I offer this year.
