About Jason

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a defensive tackle, I focus on controlling the gaps and handling explosive rushes when defending the interior gaps in football.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is focused, disciplined, and resilient. I approach the game with a strong work ethic, a team-first attitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement. I remain calm under pressure, adapt to challenges, and strive to execute every play with precision and determination.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am actively involved in my church and a member of the Lamplighters organization of the Omega Psi Phi, Inc. Fraternity. Additionally, I am part of the Robotics Honors Club at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. I have consistently earned Principal Honor Rolls since grade school and received recognition from the National Society of High School Scholars and lastly, National Hispanic Recognition Award.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership, teamwork, and community service are key skills I have developed. Through my involvement in the Lamplighters organization and the Robotics Honors Club. My consistent academic achievements reflect my dedication to excellence, while my community service efforts demonstrate a commitment to giving back and making a positive impact.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I have faced significant challenges, particularly in balancing my academic responsibilities with extracurricular activities and community service. Managing my time effectively has been crucial in overcoming these challenges, and I have learned to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and remain resilient in the face of adversity.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that offers a strong academic program in my field of interest (Mechanical Engineering), with opportunities for hands-on learning and research. I value a supportive community where I can grow both academically and personally.
