I’ve seen Jason play twice now live. Believe he is an underrated WR, who should have multiple D2/FCS offers in tri-state area. He is long, fluid, great strider. He is explosive, great leaping ability, and attacks the football. He is a playmaker who can make clutch catches on 3rd down, and be a favorite target of a QB. He made multiple clutch catches in the rain to beat Nansemond River, finishing with 5 catches/105 yards/2 TDs/1 interception. Believe he is a dynamic Z WR at FCS level when all is said and done. He is reliable in intermediate range, and can also run go routes. He plays bigger than listed sized, because of leaping ability and aggression. He needs to add more weight to sustain blocks in running game. He’s a skinny kid, who has been weight training for a few years. Has dawg mentality, a competitor who will maximize abilities. Smooth, fluid strider who gets open, and is consistent. Explosive player who an OC and QB will love. Couple protein shakes, and he can be one the best players in an FCS conference.

Jason received his second offer Thursday to give him Hampton and Ferrum. Jason is long, has large, soft hands and catches everything with his hands. He is a versatile WR who can run both screens and deep routes effectively. He adjusts to the football and shows catch radius. I still don’t think he has reached his full potential as a WR. As he gets stronger and more aggressive, he can be a game changer at the X position. D coordinators will have to respect him as a deep threat and as an underneath receiver who can pick up YAC yards. He also shows the ability to block on the edge, just needs to get stronger and build his upper body. He is a late bloomer in the recruiting process with a high ceiling. His length, hands, and smoothness a route runner are attributes that are hard to teach. With a big senior season, I expect more offers to come in.

is a smooth, technically sound receiver with a knack for adjusting to poorly thrown passes and making the most of difficult catches. He’s particularly effective on short and intermediate routes such as slants, comebacks, and stop-and-go patterns. Preston can use leverage and timing when running those types of routes. A couple of plays show his physicality: a play where he runs through defenders at the goal line after catching the pass. Preston tracks the football well, especially on deeper throws. He’ll become a better prospect as he continues to work on becoming more explosive. I would need to see Preston run other routes before I can complete an evaluation in that department. Overall, he’s a dependable option in the passing game who can be counted on to move the chains.
