Playing against a talented Twin Valley team Kern will require a big game to help get the victory. His ability to make tough catches look easy should allow him to have a big game. I expect Kern to play well.

Kern’s ability to catch the ball in traffic between defenders is excellent. He has this knack for finding an opening and then catching the ball in tight spaces. He also gets in and out of breaks well. The other part of his game that I like his his ability to play inside as a slot receiver or outside as an outside receiver. His ability to run routes at both positions is impressive. Kern to me is an underrated player, so he should eventually get a chance to get some looks from College Football programs.

His ability to run routes and catch the ball is up there with any of the best wide receivers in the 2026 class. He has recently visited a ton of colleges but currently has zero offers. Looking at his film and seeing him perform live at previous Prep Redzone showcases has proven to me that he is an FCS kid. He is that talented of a wide receiver. He has the skills, speed, and athleticism to play College Football in the future. In due time, he should be able to get an offer.

Kern is a natural route runner. His ability to get in and out of breaks is impressive. He has a high football IQ and knows how to open and create separation. His ability to catch the ball in coverage is next level as well. Kern has all the tools to be a good player going forward for Susquehanna Township.

That being said, Kern has never left the top ten at his respective position. Early into Kern’s career at Susquehanna Township, he earned himself an early offer out of Akron. Since then, we haven’t heard much in terms of scholarship opportunities. One would be mistaken to take that as a drop-off. I preface this by stating that Kern’s tape and talent hasn’t trended downward if at all, I can make an easy case that Kern has only gotten better with each rep he takes on the field. This is why I have a hard time dropping him too far on our rankings because of how good his tape can be at times. Kern is active in the Summer, visiting and working out at a ton of camps, doing what he can to make sure his name is spread across the Northeast. It’s working, I might add, as I see Kern’s complete package eventually landing him a spot with an FCS school in one year’s time. Kern caught heat early on, yet I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kern heat back up in the coming months, with teams feeling a lot more comfortable that this young man can play wideout at the Division One level.

The level of difficulty of each pass reeled in by Kern was high. Kern caught a clutch 4th-down pass after getting blown up by a defender, sure and strong hands displayed. Kern separated on fade route and was able to contort his body to adjust to the ball thrown, proving he can catch the football when things aren’t pretty. Numerous catches near the sideline, Kern made the most out of any ball thrown his way. I wouldn’t fault Kern for coming away with zero catches in this football game, that’s how difficult each catch was, yet he came away with multiple, eclipsing the 100-yard mark coupled with a score.

He should have some good opportunities to play College Football. Kern has a ton of potential as a wide receiver.
