Ranking Notes: “Farrell” was ranked as our #8 quarterback before our ranking update.  After viewing his 2023 season film and addtional prospects being added, we have ranked him as our # 13 quarterback in the class of 2025 in New England, and he is graded as a D1 prospect.

James Farrell

His name continues to come to my attention from known sources around the region. He is currently ranked as our #8 QB in the class of 2025 within New England.  I’ve been informed of two specific performances he produced this season.  Week 1 of the Massachusetts fall season, he compiled a total of 237 passing yards and in the last week of the regular season, he totaled 235 yards passing.  A quick glance of his 6-game highlight film was a pleasure to view. The first clip grabbed my attention with a nice 45-yard deep throw. He steps up nicely in the pocket when feeling the outside pressure and delivers a nicely thrown ball downfield for a strike. He is polished and has an obvious command presence in the pocket. Very good mechanics are seen in his dropback. His lower body has good footwork and balance. Does a good job with his timing and working through his progressions. His upper body shows a good quick release and ability to change arm angles. Has good pocket awareness with mobility and feet to tuck and run. Displays a few accurate throws while on the run.  Has good athletic ability to run the ball. His physical measurables align with Div 1 FBS group of 5 and or High Div 1 FCS quarterbacks. He is put together well and has a high ceiling at the QB position.

James Farrell James Farrell 6'3" | 220 lbs | QB Haverhill | 2025 State New E is 6’2″ 215lbs and positioned as a quarterback for his team this season.  This season he threw for 2000 yards,  ran for 600yrds and 24 total touchdowns with 16 of them being passing touchdowns. His season playe earned him MVC division 1 first team all conference,  and Eagle Tribune All Star honors.rnHe can make throws with accuracy under pressure.  He can make all the college throws like digs at 10-12yrds, post, comebacks at 10-12 yards and 10-15 outs.  Has good body size for the position with growth potential. He can escape the pocket and make throws on the run.  Has the ability to change arm angles when needed. Throws with good velocity. His processes well with timing and working through his progressions. He will likely see his college recruitment pick up spring 2023.
