Whyce, is an impressive young defensive lineman.  He projects to an interior defensive lineman at the college level.  At 6’3 250 he has tremendous frame to continue to build on.  It’s impressive that as a freshman he’s already overpowering and throwing blockers around.  He does a good job of using a bull rush to walk his man into the backfield, but then he has great upper body strength to disengage from the blockers.  Jamarcus isn’t just strong; he has good athleticism and runs well for a young man of his size.  He can pursue and run down the line to make plays from the back side.  As Whyce continues to fill out and get stronger I really think he could become a dominant interior defensive lineman.  Colleges have already taken notice as Whyce has early offers from UMASS and Toledo.
