Jake Gruzas Jake Gruzas 5'9" | 155 lbs | DB Caldwell | 2024 NJ is a prospect that I was really excited to watch film on. A product of Caldwell, who recently had a 30-something game winning streak broken the season, his production certainly merited a look. Unfortunately I was unable to find any highlights to write an evaluation on Gruzas’ performance. I did learn, however, that he is an outstanding lacrosse player.

Arguably the most talented team in the state, Caldwell is stacked on both sides of the ball. To give you a sense of how good this defense is, they have 4 shutouts on the season and have only let up more than 14 points once this season. Skilled at every level, their defensive backfield has been holding it down preventing any success through the air. This effort has mainly been led by Jake Gruzas Jake Gruzas 5'9" | 155 lbs | DB Caldwell | 2024 NJ , the senior defensive back. Tied for the most interceptions in the state (8), two of those have have been returned for touchdowns. He has an unreal presence in coverage and is sure to make it tough on Lakeland to have any success this weekend.

In their most recent tally, a 34-0 win against Mountain Lakes Gruzas, a senior defensive back, had a huge impact in pitching the shutout. With 3 interceptions in the contest, Gruzas is now amongst the state leaders in interceptions with 7 for the year.
