About Jake

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with a relentless, aggressive style. I'm a tough, linebacker who thrives on physicality. I read plays quickly, shed blocks effectively, and never shy away from contact. I take pride in setting the edge, delivering hard hits, and being a consistent presence in both the run game and pass coverage. Whether it’s racking up tackles, blowing up plays in the back.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring a no-nonsense, high-motor mentality to the field. I'm a film junkie and take pride in out-preparing my opponent. My mindset is to lead by example—tough, accountable, and focused every down. Off the field, I’m coachable, humble, and always looking for ways to get better.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I’m a member of the National Honor Society and have received academic recognition for maintaining a strong GPA while balancing athletics. I’ve also volunteered with local food banks / youth football camps / student leadership groups.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Football has shaped me into a disciplined leader and communicator. As a middle linebacker, I take charge of the defense—calling plays, making adjustments, and holding teammates accountable. I’ve developed strong team-first values, learned how to lift others up, and bring intensity without ego. I’ve also taken part in community service efforts, including things like Feed My Starving Children.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is always being one of the youngest in my grade. Competing against players who were older, stronger, and more physically developed pushed me from a young age to work harder just to keep up—and eventually to outwork and outperform them. It forced me to develop my football IQ, toughness, and technique faster than most.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a program where I can contribute on the field, develop under strong coaching, and be part of a team that values both excellence and toughness. I’m also looking for a school that will challenge me academically and help me grow as a person. My future is in Business/Economics. Whether it’s D1, D2, or D3, I’m focused on competing, improving, and making an impact.
