Expert Analysis
Josh White | Prep Redzone Scout
White is a tone-setting interior presence who wins with raw power and intent at the point of attack. His heavy-handed style carries forceful strikes that instantly creates disruption, space, and advantages on first contact. This elite strength also allows him to control reps with aggression and leverage.
In addition to his strength White’s motor stays active through the whistle- allowing him to impact plays even when they move away from him. This is highlighted when he rushes the passer when collapsing pockets with pure strength and dog mentality. White is one of the more consistent lineman in his class and must be accounted for on every snap.

Jahyden White Jahyden White 6'4" | 240 lbs | DL/EDGE Florence | 2028 State AL is a talented DL/EDGE from Florence who’s seeing his recruitment take off this month.
“White is a dominant force on the interior that can make your offense one-dimensional. He’s terrific at defending the run, using his size, strength, and power to put OL on their heels, close down rushing lanes, and take down the ball carrier by the line of scrimmage.
I’m really impressed with White’s motor. He plays with phenomenal effort and pursuit, sometimes working through multiple blockers and across the field to create stops. I’m really excited to see what’s in store for White; he’s been dominant through the first half of the season.“
In the last week, White has picked up offers from Missouri and North Alabama!
I was seriously impressed with White’s tape a few weeks back and think he’s only going to keep picking up more attention. We all need to keep an eye on him moving forward. He’s a talented prospect with a bright future ahead.

White had a breakout season last fall that’s seen him pick up a bunch of recent attention in the recruiting world. We all need to be on the lookout for him this coming year. I think he has a big junior season ahead of him for Florence.

White is a bulldog at the line. With grown men strength his initial jab lands has intent and his ability to seal contact with immediately affects plays. He uses that power to collapse interior lanes, forcing backs to reverse flow and quarterbacks to adjust timing. This forces teams to double however he takes them on and can still hold his ground.
His momentum through engagement prevents forward progress in run fits and his motor stays hot even when plays don’t immediately go his direction. As a pass rusher, White finishes with strength and can collapse the pocket with depth rather than surface push. He’s the type of guy who forces offenses to scheme specifically to slow down and can open up opportunities for players around him.

White is the type of interior presence offenses have to account for. He plays with exceptional upper- and lower-body strength, maintaining leverage and balance while absorbing — and often beating — double teams. His initial jab consistently puts linemen on the defensive, allowing him to control gaps early in the rep.
What stands out most is his effort and discipline. White doesn’t overextend or lose his base, which allows him to stay active in the play even when initially engaged. His ability to command attention up front frees teammates and helps shut down drives before they can gain momentum.
