6’4, 230 pounds.
Strath Haven often has Curtis aligned to shade either side of the guard, kicking the 230-pound DE inside. Curtis has the power and drive to be effective inside. Serious hand usage can be witnessed, Curtis attacks his matchup with a purpose. Can strike the arms down of weak guards, can swipe away punches while keeping momentum tumbling towards the ball carrier. Has some dip to his game, he’s a bit more slippery than his build suggests. I’d imagine collegiate suitors want Curtis to work against tackles in a 7t, so it begs the question of whether or not Curtis can bully tackles the way he bullies interior linemen.
What’s good, Curtis has reps aligning against tackles. Experience in multiple fronts is likely to help Curtis’s stock. Not an OLB, hand-off-the-dirt type of pass rusher, he’s likely to fill the void at DE in a 3-4. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear a program wants Curtis to beef up a bit, to permanently place him at IDL at the next level. I can argue the same in the opposite direction. Slimming down for pass-rush duties might be an option as well. Fun player to watch.
