Jacob missed his sophomore season at Rochester Century, but man rolling back his tape from his freshmen season there’s some good skillsets to look forward to in 2026. Jacob shows off the instincts you look for at the middle linebacker position and doesn’t take long to show it. He’s one that you can tell carries a well-versed motor especially when he’s crashing thru blockers like dominoes to cause his share of chaos in the backfield. He also shows off a great first step to penetrate into the backfield, going back to that instinctive I mentioned as well. Surely a 2028 prospect out of Rochester I’ll have to keep tracking in the 2026 season.

A JV standout last season, Jacob Hofer Jacob Hofer 5'10" | 202 lbs | LB/ATH Rochester Century | 2028 MN may very well be ready to jump into the varsity lineup next season to bolster a unit that went winless last season. Hofer showed plenty of disruptive potential, moving around consistently before the snap to a different gap to constantly leave his opponents confused, allowing him to break through pretty easily, and Hofer showed the ability to force turnovers, whether it’s him or one of his teammates getting the ball. A LB/Safety hybrid, Hofer has a solid level of athleticism, including a 29″ vertical jump, a 375 lb max squat, and a 500 lb max deadlift heading into his sophomore year. Hofer has a very good opportunity to jump up to the starting lineup next season, and he might end 2025 as one of the captains for the team.
