A kid who seems to rise up my board every time I come back to him is the Oak Creek RB Jackson Phelps Jackson Phelps 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Oak Creek | 2024 State WI . The 1,200 yard 16 TD scorer is on the hunt for that first offer. If the drought makes it to the season I have a feeling it won’t last very long into it. Phelps is poised for a good workload, and with those carries will come opportunities to show off the talent. The 5’11” 185 lbs RB has the vision and patience that OL love to block for. He allows blocks to develop, finds them, and then accelerates. Phelps also plays with the contact balance needed to bring a physicality to the field, especially in the Southeast Conference. Get the well rounded back on your radars now.

Another Top 100 prospect coming out of Oak Creek is RB Jackson Phelps Jackson Phelps 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Oak Creek | 2024 State WI . Phelps was one of the biggest risers during the 2024 Update. I became a big fan of his play style. The 6′ 180 lbs RB runs with power and balance allowing him to set the tone between the tackles. He plays behind the pads consistently, yet he also brings the athleticism needed to play the position at the next level. When he gets out in space Jackson can beat pursuit angles. Keep an eye on Jackson as he looks to continue his rise.

#207 Up to #93rnJackson had himself a breakout season leading the way in the backfield for Oak Creek. The 6′ 185 lbs junior put up over 1200 yards and 16 TDs on the way to a playoff berth. Coming into the season I was hoping to see him take that next step and there is no questioning if he did or not. While not the biggest back, Phelps runs behind his pads with success. He will pick up the tough yards and finishes his runs. I left his 2022 highlights most impressed by his vision and patience. Several times you see him allow his blocks to set up, which led to him finding running lanes that weren’t initially there. From there he got to flash the acceleration. Things are pointing up for the junior playmaker. I’m excited to see how he caps off his high school career.

Stats: 187 Yards, 2 TDsrnThis was a big time conference matchup as Oak Creek took on Franklin. Jackson, and Oak Creek, took control from the start. The 6′ 185 lbs RB put out impressive film. He was a one cut runner who saw the field well, and trusted his blocks. He set up those blocks very well, and turned many into big gains before contact. Phelps was so decisive in his cuts. When he saw where he was supposed to attack or an opening he went fro it without hesitation. Seeing him run with confidence is exciting to watch. He also showed off some power as he ran over a defender for his first TD of the highlights. It seemed like there was always arms around his legs, but his leg drive allowed him to run straight through them without stumbling. The jump in his play from a year ago is exciting to see. The junior has an exciting future ahead of him.
