Lincoln is a very well balanced edge/DE out of Oak Creek. He is a kid with an explosive and effective first step. The ways that Lincoln can win reps is vast and that should excite coaches at the next level. The tape shows a kid who can win with active hands, with the ability to dip underneath and bend around OTs, or bull rush his way into creating backfield chaos. Lincoln does a great job of keeping contain too, whether it be by using his speed to get to the sideline or by using his power to set the edge. A big summer and senior season is ahead of Lincoln.

Stats: 5 Tackles, 2 Sacks
Lincoln went up against some very talented OL in Week 1 and came away with great tape. He flashed quick hands, pass rush moves, and the ability to bend and dip underneath OTs on his way to the QB. Lincoln also maximized the length he has to create space while running the loop to the QB. Hanson’s lateral quickness also made it so that OL couldn’t seem to ever land a block on him squarely, allowing him to find ways to slip off and into the backfield. Lincoln is bigger, stronger, and quicker than ever. A exciting sign of what could be on the way over the next year for him.

Another 2027 with a bright future and lots of potential within his frame is Oak Creek’s Lincoln Hanson. Lincoln checked in at 6′ 200 lbs, but where he set himself apart at that size is with his almost 6’7″ wingspan and 10.5″ hands. Hanson also broad jumped 8’5″, ran a 4.74 shuttle and a 7.48 L-Drill. Watching Lincoln through the drills and athletic testing, it is clear that the sophomore is a smooth athlete with some noteworthy burst when he changes direction. Some of that easy athleticism shined in 1 on 1s where he won with a sudden, and effective inside redirect after setting up what looked like an outside rush. I’m excited to watch the sophomore continue to grow and develop his game.

The freshman DL out of Oak Creek put together a great day that started with one of the best overall combines of the 130 attendees when you break it down by position. He led the position in the L Drill and the shuttle, highlighting his balance, change of direction, and acceleration. He was second in the broad jump with a jump of 9′. Plus his 5.15 40 was 6th among the DL.The nearly 6’1″ 195 lbs freshman has a great base of athleticism to build his game around.
While facing off against the OTs, Lincoln was able to find some success using that burst and speed. I was able to watch him bend and dip underneath while running the loop to the QB. It was great to see him change pad level, fight off the hands of the OT, and finish to the QB for the win. I’m excited to watch the freshman improve and grow from here.

is coming off a distinguished youth football career and has transitioned well to the non-varsity ranks of the Knights. Primarily playing DE, Hanson is a big hitter and comfortable and productive as a pass rusher, thanks to his active hands that he uses effectively to disengage from blockers, and he also is strong enough to hold a gap from larger OTs trying to move him off the ball. I like his motor that doesn’t quit between the whistles, and he’s got a good frame that is going to continue to add good weight and maintain his mobility. Oak Creek always has talented young bucks waiting in the ranks and Hanson is no exception.
