Expert Analysis
Alan Popadines | Prep Redzone Scout
You can’t get much further North in Illinois than the village of Johnsburg–no more than 15 miles to the Wisconsin stateline–but that’s where Hjorth hails from. He stands 5-foot-10 and 140-pounds right now and has had quite the pre-high school athletic career. On top of standing out as a wide receiver, Hjorth has also qualified for the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) state tournament in wrestling and Track And Field in the 4×400 and 4×200. On film, you can see his work on the track and in the wrestling room directly translate to his route running on the football field. Much of his film is deep routes; And while he doesn’t have an elite initial burst off the line, you can see he gets faster after he gets into his route. His toughness also comes through with his ability to break tackles and bounce off guys who don’t come correct.
