Gering can uncork the ball about 55 yards down field, with a very high, tear-drop arch. Moreover, if things are muddy around the pocket we see him change his arm angles to get off throws. I am only left to wonder how much stronger his throws will be once he fully activates his lower half’s mechanics, as right now he has extremely raw natural arm strength. Gering is unabashed in the face of pressure, willing to take a hit or live in uncomfortable places to deliver a strike. Frankly, I feel as though Gering is at his best when he moves around the pocket and creates by things breaking down. Lastly, Gering’s ball placement was very good, especially on vertical throws.

Jackson is a tall sophomore with a rocket for an arm. Showing off his skills this offseason at various 7v7 tournaments, Jackson has proven himself to be an arm talent opponents need to worry about. With deep arm strength and chemistry with his receivers, Jackson throws the ball with velocity while hitting his man in stride. His accuracy on deep and intermediate routes really stands out, as he his able to place the ball just out of reach of the defender and into the hands of his receiver. I am excited to see what Jackson can do with a pass rush closing in on him in live action.
